God is known by the title �Father�. He is not only the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ but also of all who believe in the Only Begotten Son of God. The concept of sonship is very important to the follower of Christ, for if we are not the children of God then we do not belong to Him, and as a matter of course, eternally lost.

Worship is an extremely important part of the believer�s service to God. Unfortunately this is one of the areas where the devil can introduce a counterfeit. He knows all about praise, therefore he can easily convince believers, unless they are truly led by the Spirit, that they are worshipping God when in fact they are not (see Ezekiel 38:13-16). There is obviously a right and a wrong way to worship God.

I learned a great lesson from all of this. This was the greatest test of my life. Pastor's helped me to understand why this was happening to me. This was a part of my destiny, my journey with the Lord. This journey gave me my own testimony. I put all my trust and faith in the Lord that he would bring me through. It was written before I was born that I would have breast cancer. No one can change their destiny. Breast cancer was to be my destiny and my journey. I knew in my heart one day I would have a spring, summer and fall again. Then one day in spring came what I had been praying to God for!

Being forsaken was only one part of the suffering of our Saviour on our behalf, but unless we understand what it really means we are never going to fully appreciate what Jesus underwent so that we could be saved. The meaning of these words cannot be ventured into lightly. The meaning requires our reverence and prayerful thought, but even then, even with an eternity of prayerful consideration, the depth of the meaning remains fathomless and unreachable to man. The very idea that God could and would forsake His dear Son staggers the natural mind. In this study we are going to confine ourselves to this topic, and hopefully, by God�s grace, make the meaning a little clearer.

Grace is God's gift of unmerited favour. It is the greatest of all the blessings that we have received. This grace is as available to all today as it was when it was first offered by God. Since it is a gift we cannot do any good deed to obtain it, for we can never atone for our sin. We know that only rotten fruit grows on diseased trees, so no act of righteousness on our part merits saving grace. This being true, we understand that we have nothing to boast about before God or men. How can we not praise God for such grace that saves us!
