The parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus is the only portion of Scripture which gives us personal insight into the feelings of the lost after death. The Bible tells us that “now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2), but many people keep putting off their need to get right with God. One day everyone will awake to the spiritual and eternal truths of God’s word, but for most it will be a day too late. Such was the case of the Rich Man.

Grace is God's gift of unmerited favour. It is the greatest of all the blessings that we have received. This grace is as available to all today as it was when it was first offered by God. Since it is a gift we cannot do any good deed to obtain it, for we can never atone for our sin. We know that only rotten fruit grows on diseased trees, so no act of righteousness on our part merits saving grace. This being true, we understand that we have nothing to boast about before God or men. How can we not praise God for such grace that saves us!

How a sinner is justified by God is of vital importance to every man. It is the foundation of our hope as there can be no eternal life without it. This justification is the needed peace for condemned hearts and souls. Much confusion has come about regarding justification, yet without it it is impossible to be accepted by God. In this study we will find out what the Scriptures actually teach regarding justification by faith.
